happy new year!

happy new year! we are starting 2010 with a bang and featuring the one and only john willey. john launched his residential manhattan based firm, john willey interior design, in 2006. since then he's been creating colorful, provocative interiors, including today's transformed home, a hamptons sensation. willey redesigned what was originally a dated, undistinguished residence into a vivacious haven. he believes that life's too short for an all beige room and his interiors prove it!

i'd especially like to thank john willey, founder of john willey interior design for sharing this project with us! i'd also like to credit the talented photographer, david jacquot, for shooting the project's stunning afters.

  1. not to mention the FABULOUS brickmaker's coffee table by RESTO in the family room! seriously, this has to be my FAVORITE post...when can i move in? it's amazing...who wouldn't want to enjoy those surroundings?

  2. The hanging light fixtures along with the table lamps are spot on. The backsplash tile in the kitchen brings the room to a new level. Interestingly enough they went from granite counter surfaces back to formica to complete the kitchen look. A fabulous retro redo! Love it all.
