new year, more feldman

the first week of raenovate's 2010 posts would not be complete without a project from my favorite firm, feldman architecture. this 1912 home had seem some unfortunate changes over the years...that is until feldman architecture stepped in. their fortunate renovation involved lifting the roof to create more space and increased views. new shingles and simple architectural detailing were added to compliment the charm of the original cottage feel. the rooms were also opened to each other, flooding the home with natural light and creating a modern floor plan. the unusable golf-cart sized garage was beefed up and replaced by a two-car concrete structure that was dug into the hillside property to support the vast roof garden. with more redesigns from feldman architecture, 2010 is sure to be a very happy new year.

i'd once again like to thank jonathan feldman + camille cladouhos at feldman architecture for taking the time to send me photos and stories of their fabulous projects! i'd also like to credit the firm for shooting their own stunning afters.
