a nursery for triplets!

the idea of birthing triplets is something that would ordinarily terrify me, but then i saw today’s nursery designed for a family with triplets and i’m all, “i want three babies, at once!” marsh & clark design transformed the third-floor attic bedroom for the 2010 san francisco decorator showcase (open through the end of the month). the grand 1930’s french normandy-style mansion received a head to toe makeover from marsh & clark design, charles de lisle workshop, and an array of san francisco’s hottest interior designers.
the nursery showcases three matching, hand-crafted cribs, created by local craftsman, rob taboada. taboada specially designed the cribs to keep the babies happy and healthy with toxin-free materials and FSC-certified sustainably-harvested hardwood. three custom chandeliers float above the cribs, washing the powder-blue room in a warm glow, doubling as modern mobiles. additional design elements include thomas pedersen’s stringray rocking chair, 100% wool, un-dyed carpet, non-voc paint, sferra blankets and holland and sherry cashmere throws. triplets here i come!

the 2010 san francisco decorator showcase house is located at 3450 washington street and will be open through may 31. all proceeds benefit the financial aid program at san francisco university high school. the lovely jessica mullens of mullens public relations provided the goods for today’s marsh & clark design transformation, with after photos by elisabeth fall.

  1. Being Rae's mother I was a little breathless by her statement "I want three babies!". But now that I've seen the nursery, I'm in!!

  2. Wow - what an amazing nursery! I have twins so the thought of triplets makes me a little nauseous, but having that nursery would definitely help!

  3. Aww, this nursery is perfect!! Those babies are gonna be soo happy being in it :D.
I think when people think of a nursery they immediately think of colors, painted walls with bears or daises or what not and tons of toys, I feel the noise and craziness of having 3 babies under same roof would be enough. Now here's where plain white would work it's charms and it's just perfect.
