siol studios indoor/outdoor play space

as the unofficial east coast correspondent for the 2010 san francisco decorator showcase, i’m elated to reveal siol studios’ transformation of the mansion’s indoor/outdoor play space. designed through the eyes of a five year old, the space encourages adaptability and allows for growth. with designated areas for shared time and alone time, performance and reflection, and creation and observation the room is better than a kindergarten classroom. what’s best is the sustainability of the outdoor space. with a wind tribune, a rainwater catchment device, solar heating tubes, and plants native to california, the space is a green dream. the decorator showcase is only open for one more week, get in there while you can!

the 2010 san francisco decorator showcase house is located at 3450 washington street and will be open through may 31. all proceeds benefit the financial aid program at san francisco university high school. the lovely jessica weigley of siol studios provided the goods for today’s makeover, with after photos by raenovate favorite, paul dyer.
