What an honor to be raenovate's guest blogger - thank you so much Rachel and again many congratulations on your engagement. We all loved reading your beautiful story.
I thought I would share a recent project of mine - although there are not many "before" shots as the penthouse is brand new. My client, a young entrepreneur, has many homes in the U.S., and chose San Francisco as he is opening a restaurant downtown. He purchased this pied-a-tete and wanted it completely decorated as soon as possible. I think I was given a month which, of course, over-ran!! I love turnkey projects, especially when I am given the go-ahead to purchase everything from large scale pieces down to the bars of soap! My client is a fan of clean lines - modern, contemporary furniture with nothing too fussy.
Here is the master bedroom which has stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay. We used a muted color palette of charcoal, soft grey, white, beige and a hint of red. The pin-tuck bedding is in a pale grey, an upholstered charcoal headboard and a fabulous shag-pile rug in muted grey and beige. I added a tiny bit of color by using the red leather stool - a nod to the Golden Gate Bridge, the x-frame legs of the stool and the floor mirror are in stainless steel. The starburst mirror above the bed sparkles at night due to the tiny circular mirrors. The two bedside lamps add a boutique hotel feel to the space and I love small details such as the alarm clock and spheres.
Art work is next on the list - but that will take time. We're really pleased with the serene effect though. Hope you like it too?

i love the end result! i think the color palette for who the client is is just perfect!
