i love senior citizens! in high school i volunteered as a bingo caller at the local nursing home and ever since then old men in suspenders and frail little ladies turn my heart to mush. when interior designer
janie kasarijian explained that her recent jaw-dropping kitchen renovation was for an 80 year old couple i practically wept. having not updated their home since 1972, the sassy seniors were ready to welcome to the 21
st century with open arms. janie gutted the kitchen and adjoining entertainment and dining areas and started fresh. rich cabinetry and built-ins and a warm neutral color palette modernize the space, making it appropriate for dwellers of all ages. BINGO!
Wow! This kitchen may have been worth waiting nearly 40 years for! That fridge! Those appliances and counter tops...I'm practically weeping too!
ReplyDeleteJanie's remodel really proves that you can make a silk purse from a sow's ear! The new functionality of the kitchen is simply amazing.
ReplyDeleteJanie has such a talented eye. I saw her talent in clothing design at a very young age. She could take a simple white silk and turn it into a colorful work of art you wear. I love this kitchen transformation because not only does it totally update the space but it utilizes every inch much more effectively. And the design has a broad appeal. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteWow that kitchen redo makes me want to change into a cocktail dress and pearls and make dinner for my darling husband! Janie is Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of different lighting! So beautiful!
