kuth ranieri architects transformed today’s
san francisco cottage (originally built just after the 1906 earthquake) into a transfixing translucent guesthouse. designed to serve as an annex to the client’s primary nob hill residence (located just across an urban alley), the cottage contains a flexible entertaining/gallery/theater space, a studio/workroom, and two full guest suites. with corrugated panels that both reveal and veil its structure, the renovation is simply awesome.

That transformation is unbelievable! I can't believe how modern the home now looks.
