modern by design bedroom

today’s redesign is an oldie but a goody from michaela scherrer interior design. featured in metropolitan home’s 2007 la showhouse, modern by design, scherrer created the prominently white second bedroom. after designing a platform bed frame from salvaged poplar wood, scherrer dressed it with vintage and all natural linens, recycled textile fabrics, and laser cut leather pillows. the alison berger floor lamp and nuno sheer window panel perfectly contribute to the harmonious aesthetic of the sleeping quarters. i wish i could go back in time and visit this home in the hills above sunset boulevard.

i would especially like to thank andrea digiulioof of michaela scherrer architectural interior design, llc for submitting their melodious southern california renovations. the after photo was shot by the accomplished photographer, grey crawford.
