way back wednesday!

when i began raenovate some of our nation's finest designers had faith, took a leap and agreed to share their transformation projects with me and my freshman blog. since then i've learned A TON, majorly upped my readership, and become a photoshopping fool. without these amazing designers i would be a big old uninspired sac of boring, but with their hard work and help i've discovered my passion. so it's without further ado that i present you 'way back wednesday'; each hump day i'll feature the redesigns that started it all, in bigger and better form.
in today's inaugural 'way back wednesday' we're revisiting michael merrill design studio's san francisco edwardian home redesign. originally the bathroom opened into the kitchen (eww!), the hallway was uber narrow, and the residence was storage-less. after waving his magic design wand and demolishing the walls, bathroom, and kitchen, michael merrill created the new and improved floor plan, allowing the space to flow smoothly. a tiny coat closet was converted into a full stretch of storage hidden behind sliding barn doors, and the kitchen was outfitted with modern professional grade appliances, a wine storage area, a breakfast nook, and custom cabinetry providing bonus storage space.

i'd once again like to thank mariko blakemore at michael merrill design studio for taking the time to submit their projects. i'd also like to credit john sutton photography for shooting their afters, oh so fabulously.
