oregon vineyard home

coop15, my favorite small seattle residential architecture firm is wining and designing! their recent rehab of a salem, oregon vineyard home focused entirely on creating connections. the homeowners yearned for a residence that would connect with their vineyard and an interior that would encourage entertaining their family and friends. coop15 architects jill lewis and lane williams extended the existing boxy home to create extra space for a new master bedroom and bathroom, garage and attic space. they also incorporated a new covered porch allowing for outdoor lounging and wine drinking.
lovely interior touches include a custom poured-in-place concrete and alaskan yellow cedar fireplace, oak stained ebony flooring, and classic mid-century furniture such as bertoia stools, an eileen gray side table and eames red plywood lounge chairs. as they say in the vineyards of italy, “salute”!

i would once again like to thank trevor dykstra of coop15 for submitting their awe-inspiring renovations. the after photos were shot by the talented, tim maloney.

  1. This is the second raenovate post in a row where the kitchen part of the redo included replacing the existing granite in favor of another material. has the granite bubble burst? are stainless appliances next?
