san francisco victorian

exterior renovations tend to make my jaw drop even lower than interior ones. what can i say, i judge books by their covers…guilty as charged. san francisco architecture legend andre rothblatt recently made over the front exterior of a victorian residence in his home city and my jaw dropped so low i have a scab on my chin. by reconfiguring the staircase, producing new railings and painting the whole shebang, the result is dramatic… night and day, dramatic!

i would especially like to thank andre rothblatt for granting me the permission to borrow photos from his online portfolio.

  1. this home project so much more that a renovation. a restoration like this one goes very far to preserve the architectural integrity of its neighborhood. i bet other homes have followed suit. bravo!

  2. Why, hello! I really like the changes they made -- the new location of the staircase looks great. But honestly, those driveways and garages like that still freak me out.
