our bedroom inspiration

i’ll be posting our big time bedroom reveal any day now, but in the meantime i thought i’d show you what inspired us while we were designing and building it. our goal was to create a space that felt modern, but also paid homage to our home’s 1920 birth and craftsman roots. we knew that incorporating moudlings and paneling was a must and that we wanted to keep it light, bright and airy. we chose to replace the wall-to-wall carpeting with hardwood (i’m loving it so much that i haven’t yet considered buying an area rug) and to only use white fabrics. motivated by the designs of blanche garcia, lauren liess, jennifer flores and bear hill interiors, our bedroom was born.

  2. Love the textured effect on the ceiling and upper foyer walls. I see the raised panel wall idea and the upholstered headboard but I know your rendition will take the cake.....can't wait!
