i’m a yankee. i eat taylor ham, i visit the vineyard annually, i don’t "reckon" a thing, and occasionally i catch myself pumping my fist while dancing. with that being said, i want to move to decatur georgia. more specifically i want to move to decatur georgia and live in a home redesigned by terracotta properties, such as today’s featured beaut. it had been a brick rancher clearly inhabited by elderly folks. and as much as luscious orange shag carpeting and lavender flocked wallpaper sound amazing, when they’ve been installed for 40+ years they lose their pizzazz. terracotta literally blew the roof off the joint by creating an entire second story (accessible via the new staircase in the entryway). they replaced all of the home’s windows, doors, and floors and clearly added a ton. we’re talking custom moudlings, cedar shake siding, a front porch, a custom kitchen, and SO MUCH MORE. decatur here i come!

big thanks to luly melarti of terracotta properties for submitting photos of their atlanta redesigns. for more inspiration check out terracotta’s website, twitter feed and facebook page.
