orange county casa

i don’t often quote hip-hop artists, but in the words of a tribe called quest, “here we go yo, here we go yo, so what so what so what's the scenario”. janelle steinberg the designer behind today’s beautifully revamped orange county home is here to give us the lowdown on how the project went down.

“after living in manhattan for some time, my client returned to her native orange county, california and wanted to redesign her sea side home. as a savvy 30-something, she wanted a stylish yet gracious home that echoed tradition and stayed in keeping with the relaxed sophistication of coastal life in southern california’s orange county enclave. the house had previously not undergone any major remodeling, other than a cosmetic update to the kitchen. some existing mouldings were present, as well as the desire to integrate or repurpose a few cherished pieces that were purchased during her residency in new york city.”
