our guest bedroom's starburst mirror

with tyler's carpentry business and our goal of spending as many non-jobsite minutes together as possible, it only makes sense that i log a lot of time roaming the aisles of the home depot. i've become a collector of paint chips and i now know way more about toilet gaskets than i ever thought possible. every once in a while i also strike gold. which recently came in the from of a starburst mirror.
after excitedly wrapping up the remodel of our guest room i felt that something was missing, and rather than drive myself and tyler crazy, searching for the missing puzzle piece, i chose to wait for the solution to come to me organically. and to my surprise it happened at the home depot. for $34.97 in the form of a 30" diameter starburst. the metal antique gold mirror acts as the perfect anchor for our guest room and the missing puzzle piece. so the next time your man asks you to the hardware store, join him, you never know what inspirational item you'll find.

  1. What a fantastic deal! And it definitely completes the room. I love it!

Any ideas what you're going to do with all those paint chips?
