newton carpenter gothic renovation

the wildly talented LDa architecture & interiors team has done it again. after providing us with one of raenovate’s most popular transformation posts of all time, i’ve been stalking them for more. and boy have they delivered! located in the boston suburb of newton massachusetts , LDa renovated the 200 year-old carpenter gothic home, with a concentration on the kitchen/garage wing. working almost exclusively within the existing footprint, the kitchen was redesigned around the most amazing sink of all time, and the garage was converted into a family and guest room. this area of the home had been added in the early 20th century and in order to help it to flow seamlessly, LDa enhanced its connection the original structure with a new rear stairway and accompanying tower. be still my historical house loving heart.

i would especially like to thank ms. amanda hanley at LDa architecture & interiors for submitting their awe-inspiring renovations. the after photos were shot by the accomplished photographer, greg premru.
