the 2012 san francisco decorator showcase teen only hang out room

the 2012 san francisco designer showcase is open for 10 more days and you cannot pass up the opportunity to visit the mansion, if only to see emily mughannam’s neon room. designed with teenage dwellers in mind, emily’s inspiration for the space was the widely popular acronym ‘YOLO’ (you only live once). emblazoned in neon, the saying defines the room. you’ll also find heart print papered ceilings, apparatus studio’s compass chandelier, custom neon acrylic shelves, society social’s white/gold tipple trolley and so much more! emily’s reaction says it best, “it's attracting people for all the reasons that i wanted it to, it's happy, it's fun, it's innovative and refreshing.”

the 2012 san francisco decorator showcase house is located at 2020 jackson street and will be open through may 28. proceeds benefit the financial aid program at san francisco university high school. the lovely emily mughannam of em design interiors provided the goods for today’s makeover, with after photos by, helynn ospina.
