danielle oakey interiors

our favorite e-designer is back! danielle oakey's tween room had y'all amped, so i couldn't resist sharing one of her recent living room redos with you too! in boring brown and beige, the before space was a snoozefest. oakey suggested a new frosty color palette, additional window treatments, hardwood floors, and some added oomph to freshen up the fireplace and built-in bookcase. the result is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! the space is SO MUCH BRIGHTER! okaey strikes again!

i would especially like to thank danielle oakey of danielle oakey interiors for granting me the permission to feature her redesigns and photos!

florida fixer upper

what with today being the first official day of summer and the longest day of the year, it only makes sense that the featured redesign comes to us from the sunshine state! joe lucas and parrish chilcoat of lucas studio, inc. interior design recently completed a head to toe residential renovation in ocean reef, flordia. pre-rehab the home was hanging onto the eighties with lots of mauve, natural wood trim and melamine. lucas and parrish updated it by about a quarter of a century by introducing jute, a cool color palette, lantern lighting and daintily patterned fabrics, amongst other things. enjoy the sunny interior on the sunniest day of the year!

i would especially like to thank joe lucas of lucas studio, inc. interior design for submitting redesigns from his west hollywood, california firm.

rumson residence redo!

when meg selling and her family bought their sprawling seaside residence in rumson new jersey, the first person they invited over was her brother, interior designer, joe lucas. over the course of two years, joe's firm, lucas studio, inc. interior design transformed the 7,000 square foot house into a home. from replacing the exterior siding with red cedar shakes to installing boat-loads of custom cabinetry, the abode was altered inside and out!

i would especially like to thank joe lucas of lucas studio, inc. interior design for submitting redesigns from his west hollywood, california firm.

jack's room at the 2012 san francisco decorator showcase

to quote the classic 90's film, can't hardly wait, "these are memories frozen in time, people!". the 2012 san francisco decorator showcase may have closed its doors for the season, but with all the photographs we have designs frozen in time! kathy geissler best's showcase territory was jack's bedroom, room the the home's male teenage resident. kathy wanted to create a space that was half entertaining man cave, half edgy reflection spot. with pieces like porto romano's balloon lamp, the decor is sophisticated and playful at the same time, creating a design that was meant to be frozen in time.

i would especially like to thank my good friend roberto tiscareno of open marketing for submitting this breathtaking san francisco transformation on behalf of kgb interior design.

tween room!

i’m super duper amped about today’s transformation. i’ve been eyeing up interior designer, danielle oakey’s spaces for years, and today we’re finally revealing one on raenovate! the salt lake city designer has created a niche for herself in the world of e-design. working online with clients has allowed her to focus on her family while simultaneously whipping up striking spaces across the country. and while her latest endeavor wasn’t too far from home, it still packs a powerful punch.
technically her clients were a pair of charming tweens, but we all know that tweens don’t pay bills so she worked closely with their mama. inspired by caitlin wilson’s berry fleur chinoise fabric, oakey upholstered the headboards in it and pulled colors from its bright palette. the room came alive with brilliant color and was enhanced further with texture, modern furnishings and personal touches.

i'd especially like to thank danielle oakey of danielle oakey interiors for granting me the permission to feature her redesign and photos! she scooped the room’s goods from the following sources: society social darlington chair, walmart desk, target desk lamp, amazon bubble chair and benjamin moore moonshine and coral reef wall paints.
