melanie turner interiors

award winning atlanta interior designer, melanie turner is turning heads with her designs and recent publicity. based in buckhead, melanie’s latest impressive redesign of a local residence proves why publications like veranda, traditional home, and architectural digest can’t stop talking about her.
the existing home was lacking a certain je ne sais quoi, but when melanie turner interiors entered the picture it was whipped into shape. with fabrics like schumacher’s zimba, imperial trellis and chenonceau, the house took on a quirky comfortable and sophisticated feel that very much exemplifies turner’s style.

i would especially like to thank melanie turner of melanie turner interiors for submitting redesigns from her atlanta, georgia firm.

our home office! renovation realities!

confession, we finished our home office weeks ago and i've yet to share construction and after photos. as with the other rooms in our home, tyler switched up the closet size, installed new 1/4" drywall, restored the existing trim, and added new maple flooring. however, in this space he went especially above and beyond and created a coffered ceiling. i shouldn't be such a braggart because it is my house but i can't help myself, the ceiling is phenomenal. so much so that our elderly boxer who typically enjoys alone time was all up in our business during the construction process.
before we unveil the finished room next week, take another sneaky peek at our inspiration for the space, and join tyson in getting a behind the scenes look.

all work was performed by trg home concepts!

8 foot six's first floor!

shannon of the noteworthy blog, 8 foot six, is a lady after my own heart. her blog and home include so many of my favorite elements, i feel like maybe she could be my canadian design clone. today we're touring the first floor of her happy toronto home, where the transformations are aplenty!

i would especially like to thank shannon for granting me the permission to borrow photos from her blog, 8 foot six.

baby shower before + afters

in our latest party planning undertaking, jen woolston and i learned that styling a space for an event can create a transformation just as dramatic as redecorating a room. thrown at a dazzling waterfront home in rumson new jersey, the gathering was in honor of jen and her soon to be baby. we had a GORGEOUS setting to work with and with a few tricks of the trade it turned out to be even more stunning than we had hoped.

we snapped the before photos in early spring before the foliage filled in and the winter d├ęcor shipped out. the wildly talented kate connolly captured the afters.
